I’m in a bit of a dilemma—two job offers on the table, and they’re almost identical in terms of salary, benefits, and the type of work. The companies are even comparable in size. I’m having a hard time figuring out what should tip the scale. What’s your tie breaker? Is it the potential for career growth, bonuses, WLB, or something else?

The people you work with. That is worth a whole lot of emotional capital.

Congrats on have choices (albeit too similar)!

Really no right answer here. But think about career trajectory, WLB, people you are working directly with, etc. Look at LinkedIn how others in those companies with similar backgrounds have progressed in last few years.

If still all the same roll a dice and press (nicely and professionally) one of the company’s for more comp/benefits. If no then just go with the other

like

Combination of growth and wlb. If this is maxed out, it is often even worth accepting lower tc than what you have currently.

like

Congratulations! My tiebreaker is always some version of culture or people. Where will you feel happier?

Culture hands down. And which future boss you feel like is going to invest in you.

People and WLB!!

Take both! Http://overemployed.com

Culture is what comes to mind. You will do your best work and want to stay at a job the values it's people. You will have a better chance at a promotion and opportunity where the company values its people.
