I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

If you want MBB generalist roles, skip the data masters and get an MBA
Yeah I figured as much. (I feel) I’ve got a solid reputation at my company (locally and regionally), but I’m conflicted about whether to continue to build that goodwill or start building more elsewhere right now.. I guess it probably doesn’t look too good if I’ve jumped around too much 😂
I’m currently working in an ERM function at a global insurer, and the role is in the data and analytics team in a regional bank. The new role is 90k + bonus and my current is 65k + bonus. I don’t think I’ll get as much exposure to senior leadership as I do in this role, but the intention is still to get into MBB (either through MBA or grad hire).
1. Non-consulting roles at MBB are not great and does not carry same name value as consulting role (i.e. second class, bad exits)
2. It is harder to break into consulting role from non-consulting role. Boutique consulting then top MBA would be the easiest way.
Everything is relative. I wouldn't agree they are "not great". IMHO, one can have a rich and rewarding career at McKinsey in a non-consulting role.
Sure, it's not as prestigious as consulting, but you still can have a lot of impact, work with top notch people (consulting and non-consulting alike), benefit from the brand somewhat, and of course have much better work life balance.
If you’re 22 and have an offer for 90k you should absolutely take the offer.
It’s not USD (probably 50 USD > 70 USD)
I wish I was 90USD@22 HAHAH
You better take the 90k role US dollar or not. If not, I seriously question if you are smart enough to work at MBB.
My backup plan is to go to Enron as a financial engineer.
