I’m in a sixth year associate in a more niche area on the Plaintiff-side. I work for several partners and in some cases, other associates. On all of the cases I work on, I do the majority of work. This year, I brought in about $5M in fees. This year (2023) I’ve already brought in $5M. What is a reasonable base + commission structure to ask for? Is $150k base plus 3% too much to ask for?

I cleared LTI all rounds and in HR discussion we came on mutual agreement for 16lpa .I have 7 years of experience and they gave me Specialist - Data Engineering(P3) role. And we agreed I will join with after 60 as I had to serve 60 days notice period. I was waiting for offer letter and when I received the offer letter I was shocked to see that CTC mentioned was 14LPA and joining date was only 15days from now ,which is way early.

Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting.
