Hi Everyone! I have been working in Salesforce for about a year now. But I am not enjoying my work as it's mainly on backend. I have been wanting to move to Web Dev. But someone suggested that like if I like frontend I should try LWC instead as I'm already into Salesforce. So I'm quite confused which way should I go. Can anyone help me with the same Tata ConsultancyAccentureDeloitteZS AssociatesInfosysSalesforceSalesforceAmazonMicrosoft

First thing: know it’s going to be hard to break into the space, but if you want it, don’t give up
That being said, look on udemy and take self taught courses on all of the softwares you mentioned (python, tableau, sql etc.). You can usually find those courses with major discounts (<$20). But if you don’t want to pay for them, there are free courses out there. I know Alex the Analyst on youtube is an amazing resource, I still look at his videos every now and again.
Then once your skills are at least at a level where you’re confident with them, start to make a portfolio of your work on github, tableau public etc. essentially a free place to showcase the work you’re capable of doing
Lastly, connect with other analytics folks on linkedin, reach out to the and ask them questions on their day to day and just generally engage with them to show that you’re truly interested in breaking into the industry. In turn when a spot opens up they may think of you and have you apply with a reference which is always better than just cold applying to positions
What’s your current role? What do you have experience in those 8 years?
Thanks for sharing… theres an important piece of information you mentioned…..You said you’ve tried HR and executive management…what do you mean by that? Did you have to actual interview for this position with your HR? If yes - what happened there?
You also mentioned working on your Bachelor’s. If you have a BS of Finance/business and are currently working on Data/analytics degree - you’re doing exactly the right thing! There are now all kinds of great Data analytics courses provided by top colleges. I would suggest enrolling into a Data program in one of those. Make sure to check that its an interactive, instructor-led course. In my opinion , “human-based” courses will always beat any web-apps. Once completed- you should have enough knowledge to look anywhere, not just your organization!
E-learning platforms have all unfortunately evolved into a big land-fil for thousands of videos . If you search for “SQL” on any of these e-learning web-apps (using udemy as an example) you will get 9,000 results!….just tried it myself…. So you have to be ready to spend some quality time finding the “right” educator! There’s no curriculum, no structure and you cant ask questions so noIn my experience- udemy and other e learning apps are awesome when serving as an additional resource rather that the primary source of education.
Sorry for the long post…I can definitely relate to your situation as Ive been in the same position before!
Good luck! Let me know your progress!
I reached out to all these individuals to better understand what I need to do to get myself into the circle of potential candidates. I was looking into online versions, and I agree that there are a lot of options. I was hoping anyone who is in this girls can share how they got into it
