I’m looking to move into a higher level sales role but don’t know where to start. Currently I work as a Mattress Store Manager making between 110-130k a year depending on sales. This appears to be the upper cap in my field. I’m hoping to grow into a more complex role with a longer sales cycle and higher rewards, perhaps medical? Any advice as I navigate my career shift would be very much appreciated.

The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. There’s a practice group that I’ve been trying to find work in but whenever I volunteer to help, I always get roped in to do non billable work. I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?
