I’m new to buying stocks and used Stash. Pros and cons or recommendation for other traditional company like Charles Schwab?

I can probably give you some insight from my personal experience. Like you I got started with stocks/etf's though Stash. The one benefit from Stash is that you can begin buying individual stocks (and fractions) along ETF's with minimal or no knowledge of how the market works. As you progress and start learning more, you'll start to see the issues with it. For example, let's say you see your stock dropping drastically because of some news or events. If you want to sell it and get out while ahead (Short it). You can put a sale request on it, but you can't control when or for how much to buy it. The same applies for buying, you can't set limits on what price to pay (bid) for the share. Another issue, is that as you start exploring the market. You'll find out that not every stock or ETF is available (LAZR for example). In addition, you're getting charged a monthly fee. Now with other trading platforms you'll have a lot more freedom and options for your trades. And the vast majority charge you nothing for trading with them. The catch is, you have to understand a little more on how things work (I have a long way to go here myself). But for example, if you put an order to buy a stock at opening and don't set any limits on your bid. You might be thinking you're paying the price it was listed at opening. But in reality, since you didn't set any limits on your bid, you can end up paying a higher price due to a spike in price right after the market opens. People also trade in options, there are a lot more options, but also a lot more things that can go wrong. Whatever you do, don't follow Wallstreetbets on Reddit! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
