I was hoping to find a new career at Booz Allen Hamilton but the number of applications ignored or rejected by other companies has me nervous. Hi everyone! Slight dilemma here. I was just offered a full time role, that I do not want, but it gives me benefits. Right now I’m making good money but as a sub-contractor. I am working with recruiters to completely change careers, but falling flat. I just moved back to the states after getting my MFA in London, but my field is struggling.
Do I take the job? Which I know would be mentally unstimulatingOr do I politely decline, keep sub-contracting, and put my efforts towards something I want?

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m seeking advise from fishers. My brother in law is going to university next year. He was engineering (which is one of the worse decisions someone can do from my experience LOOL). I told him if anything he should do managment engineering which he got accepted to. He also got accepted to Mcmaster- information management systems. Which in my opinion you get a bit of everything! And this degree is picking up a lot of traction’s across tech. More thoughts in the comments

Should I potentially take new role with 38% increase in base salary? I currently make $126k base with ~10% bonus with 2 YOE. Great WLB, WFH 4 days a week. In final round at Private Equity fund where I would be their main technology liaison between deal team/portfolio managers and the programmers/IT people at the firm. I would be the only person on the team. Comp would increase to 175k base w/ 20% bonus but I’m assuming my WLB would disappear. Need some advice. Thanks.
