Im probably overthinking this but traveling to Hawaii from LAX and want to make sure because it’s been surprisingly hard to find a concrete answer online. I know that proof of vaccination is sufficient to avoid testing/quarantine going there. But what about coming back? Will I need to do any testing/quarantine or is proof of vaccination enough? I know Hawaii is a US state but is it considered domestic or international travel with regards to covid? Since requirements keep changing I’m confused

Domestic travel.

like

It’s domestic. You can re-enter CA without a covid test. You should get tested though after coming back just to be responsible 🤷‍♀️

They asked if it’s domestic or international, I answered the question (it’s obvs domestic, why would it count as international). But I mean they should, I’m on the island rn and they’re not doing too hot so it’s the responsible thing to do…

I’m a 2nd year associate and I’ve been working at the same firm since I started. In a nutshell, I love the work (the practice area) but not the people very much (it’s just not a fit). I’ve been thinking of leaving for some time. I have an opening at another law firm, but my practice area would be different. Should I just wait for another opening in my area of preference? With Covid, openings are rare for entry level associates ...

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

Need some advice here. Option 1: rent a condo for 2600 a month. Option 2: pay 2600 in mortgage/month, but I can only afford ~5% for the down payment. Is is better to avoid PMI and save for another year or two before purchasing a condo/house? Feel like I can’t justify paying 2600/month in rent if I can afford the mortgage
