It is against policy. Also, we are subject to location audits where your travel per the portal is compared to your location where you charged hours so you could have a lot of explaining as to why you used it inappropriately
Completely agree with EY2. Not worth jeopardizing your job or stressing an expense or travel audit for a few bucks of discount. I would check the perks at work site, some discounted rates there..
Usually you need a charge code so I’d assume not. But I’ve never actually tried or asked. Look it up in the rules.

They have a program through Amex that’s separate from the travel portal that’s supposed to have decent deals. Or EY perks as well. Also have corporate codes for hotels and car rentals

Apparently you aren’t supposed to, which was major news to me when I first heard that a few months ago. I think it is the most minor infraction imaginable though...kinda like stealing a pen.
