Additional Posts in Accounting Exit Opportunities
Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Do what you need to do for your mental health. Best of luck.
Would not do that in this market. Take the classes on the weekend to get licensed. That's what my dad, an IT professional, did. He said they were easy
Were you the guy who audited SVB?
Maybe too soon. 🥹😂
good luck, I don’t think it’s a bad move at all if you are willing to put in the work. I know a guy pulling in high six figures and has been for at least 5 years now, and he’s not even 30 yet.
I hope you don’t end up coming back to audit after a few months. Not trying to be mean. But it’s hard starting out as a realtor. Takes time to hold up reputation and network.
All the more reason to try. Audit will always take you back
What level are you
That’s awesome good luck !
There's other things you can do with an accounting degree besides audit. I personally wouldn't want a job whose pay was dependent on making a sale, but if your personality is a match for that then go for it
Good for you! Had a friend that quit engineering and became a broker. Definitely hard work but doable.
You definitely don’t need to quit your job to get your RE license
If you mean an mba with emphasis in real estate to work in repe or a reit that’s one thing. You mean to be a realtor, oh boy
the worst time to do this
