Think they did a good job on this piece. It was a truly embarrassing moment for the firm, but I think it’s being handled as well as can be expected. Should go smoothly this year 🤞

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Definitely following through, that's a huge one, especially in a remote first environment. Another big one is being communicative and engaged on Teams/Slack. It's very easy to phone it in and not participate in conversations, but I think it's a big sign of leadership to stay present and active.

Definitely, presence being felt in remote space is important

I really like especially what you said about finding leaders and their personality styles that are more compatible to yours and partner with them
I think those are great ways to build trust. I hate when a manager or leader can't follow through. I also think that having good communication is a good way to build trust with your team as well.

Yeah that’s always challenging when you can’t rely on them
