I’m so frustrated! I’ve been searching for a FT job for more than a year. I had a little PT gig for about 3 months. Interviews seem to go well, then I get ghosted. I even met with a VP of a company, he set me up to meet with the CEO who said she was just meeting me as a formality bc the VP gave her a thumbs up. Then ghosted again - I followed up twice. I just don’t get it. And now everything I’m finding is commission based which terrifies me. Does anyone do straight commission? Is it worth it?

Had on-site a month ago and recruiter has promised an update several times and not followed through. Anything I can do other than following up once a week? I think I’m the backup candidate but would be helpful to get more clarity

I renegotiated my start date and it’s different from the date I signed on the offer letter. Do I need to request a revised offer letter or is the email thread with the recruiter sufficient. By the way, my background check is already in progress.

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)

I’m new to the cybersecurity industry, professionally speaking (I did/do a lot for family and close friends). I’ve completed a boot camp, which I regret doing. I have certifications for companies such as Qualys and ISC2, but no CompTIA security+ yet. I tailor my resume to position descriptions. It’s been a month or so, without any offers. What would you suggest that I do to get my first entry level position?

1. Need some feedback how anyone proceed during HCL Technologies Discover portal login. It's showing me invalid login continuously and using forget password options, able to login one time by luck 2. BGV documents uploading links are routing to smart portal. Will it be the same credentials which is being used during discover portal login? Asked my recruiter HR, but no reply so far

I’ve made it to the 3rd round interviewing at three different firms over the past month, and the feedback I’m getting has all been very similar: they think I’m really great, but it’s not the right time. Why spend 4-6 hours interviewing me just to say there isn’t actually a current role for me? Should I be reading between the lines (if so what does it mean?) or pressing harder for more detailed feedback?

What can I do if I believe I’m being overcharged for utilities. I was charged prorated around 125 for 11 days for water and electricity (this is my share in a four bedroom apartment). I think this is crazy expensive for utilities for 11 days. I did just move to Austin, is it normal for utilities to be this high ?

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

What should I pay a part time PMM at a Series A funded, Y Combinator-backed Fintech SaaS startup working 20 hours a week whose job it is to assist the CMO (me) with setting up and managing a product marketing function? This person will be the 7th hire, the second marketer, and will grow into a full time role (if they want it) as we scale. I myself just completed PMA's Product Marketing Core Cert, but I can't do it all myself and run Demand Gen and Mar Ops. Also HM experience should I require?

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)
