So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

Let's say I can't get a product or marketing job in tech, but I could get in via sales or customer success. Does working in those roles pigeonhole you, or is it easy to switch later? If you take a job as a customer success mgr for ads, or as a partnership mgr for learning solutions for industry X, are you going to get stuck in those products (ads, learning solutions), roles (CS, sales/partnerships), or target industry (X)?

UK market is open only for niche skillsets ( Data engineer + analytics). Firms aren't interested in sponsoring rest all skill sets, as they can be filled internally. They have limited quota every year, and are very choosy when it comes to allocation. Preference is first given to EU nationals and then Asians during shortlist stage.

Deloitte USI is offering me 15LPA fixed and 1lack joining bonus and HCL offering me 23LPA fixed. I've tried to negotiate with deloitte but they are not ready to negotiate and asking me to join on the same CTC which was initially provided. I'm confused to select the company. It would be really helpful if anyone could share their views. Thanks.

What do you think about the lower pay cohorts in Risk Consulting vs MC and TC? Isn’t it time with the new equation to pay equally? Also since a lot of MC and TC work on RC projects? Seems like RC is significantly underpaid.

What’s your take on the FRM and CFA? Do the associations provide any noteworthy networking/sales opportunities? Does it help with recognition for promotions or acquiring clients? Are there any other titles worth mentioning?

I really want some clear cut long term career goals and ambitions. But working in risk and reg I haven’t found anything yet that really grasps my desire. But my seniors keep asking me where I want to go but in all honesty I just keep bouncing from one project to another trying to do a good job. Does anyone have any ideas how I can find my future career path?

Is Risk & Reg too specialized? Debating whether to try and make a switch to a different team like deals, FDD or restructuring while I’m still only a senior since the exit options in risk & reg seem somewhat narrow (risk manager or regulatory office?)

1st Post: How do MBB Risk & Regulation Teams compare to Big 4? It’s the only area where I’ve seen a Big4 Manager move to an MBB without a demotion (at least in Europe). Any insights are appreciated!:)
