What are the cons of storing large files as .xlsb? Are there any benefits beyond smaller file size?

Does Audi charge additional fees for a 3rd party like Carvana to buyout your lease? The payoff quote I see online from Audi FS is 2.8k lower than the quote they have faxed Carvana apparently.
