Is Risk & Reg too specialized? Debating whether to try and make a switch to a different team like deals, FDD or restructuring while I’m still only a senior since the exit options in risk & reg seem somewhat narrow (risk manager or regulatory office?)

I would agree the exit opportunities are low; but in my mind, this translates to a good business case for consulting. In other words, our partners have a ton of opportunity to sell different service offerings, given a lot of what we do isn’t generally handled by in-house risk functions.

Most of the people I work with end up going to some risk or compliance function at Citi. If you want more diverse exit opportunities moving groups may be a good move. I also feel like they are cheapening the legacy FS R&R group with all the internal audit and compliance testing people they moved in from assurance. It is only a matter of time before they converge salaries.

Got industry offer for Director level role in strategy / Corp dev M&A at a late stage pre-IPO unicorn (Series D+) at a MCOL city. 200 base, 20% bonus, additional 40k/yr options. So $280K range all in starting. I’m currently making $250K in VC here in Bay Area. Job is in a MCOL T2 city (Boston/Dallas/Austin/Chicago) so I won’t be living in expensive Bay Area. During my tenure at TCS, I hadn't linked Aadhaar with UAN because the aadhaar mandate was happening around the time of my resignation.. After resigning from TCS, I took a 3 year break from my job for personal reasons.
In the meantime, EPFO had migrated most of the processes from offline to online.
Then i joined EY where I was told that it was my responsibility to link aadhaar with UAN.
Further, I can't see any entry from EY in my PF passbook. I can see the TCS entry but can't mark my exit.

Looking to move to London (international move) at the end of next year and wondering if anyone knows of any teams/firms that primarily do ODD work? I believe S& Deals primarily do CDDs and DDV primarily do separations.

I do a lot of ODD work now with a mix of CDDs and separations and looking to focus more on ODDs when I get to London. Open to moving away from S& / PwC if needed.

Thanks!

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
