Cisco interviewed me for 3 months for a couple of roles and then offered me comp that is considerably less than my current comp for a product manager role!! They also said its cisco policy to not offer rsu for mcol cities. Rsu is apparently only meant for candidates in hcol cities.

Hi Fishes! YOE - 7 (CA - Regulatory + Financial Reporting). Current CTC - 12 I have an offer from Capco (Consultant-M2 - Regulatory Reporting). Offered CTC is 15.5 I have final interview pending with American Express for band M30. Can someone guide me on the seniority of this band and the salary that I can ask from th HR? Any info would be highly appreciated.

I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?
I gave interview in Amazon and cleared all the rounds , then went on hold and still on hold due to hiring freeze in that departement. HR does respond and update me when reached out.
Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

I'm there right now, too. We have some truly awful projects. I'm just trying to hold up until the fall when I don't have to pay back my signing bonus.
I highly recommend that you have something in hand before resigning. It is much easier to find a job when you are employed. Otherwise, you will have to tell a story about why you chose to leave, and there may be lingering questions about whether you were pushed. Just my $.02

Take some vacay to relax and get away from work.. Hopefully you'll have an offer by then and u can move on!
I quit and spent 3 months traveling before even interviewing anywhere. It did wonders for my sanity.

Agreed. Try to stick it out. I know it's soul-sucking, but I've quit a horrible job without anything else lined up before and I regretted it. That period of desperately needing to find a new job was so much more stressful than phoning it in at the old job would have been. And that feeling gets even worse when I think about the savings I burned through during that time versus the money I still could have been making.
I was feeling like this in the fall. Hang in there and keep yourself sane by thinking about an awesome vacation/break you'll take between quitting and starting your new job!
