I’m tired of the hustle propaganda in this industry telling me I need a side hustle when my day job already pays $200k. I see these influencers talking about passive income and flipping houses while I’m already working 60 hours a week. My side hustle is sleeping and trying to remember what my hobbies were before I started my MBA. Does anyone else here just... work their high-paying job and then stop, or are we all supposed to be entrepreneurs now?

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?
