I don't have a solution but I feel the same way. The days feel longer and as the months progress I realize more and more that media planning isn't for me. I know for sure I don't want to do what my supervisor is doing. I've been reaching out to people in other departments to learn what they do
I hope you can find a better tangential move...I want to talk to people outside of my department too, but I’m having trouble wanting to stay on advertising. Best of luck!!
If you are more of a brand planner/strategist then media planning would seem a bit soulless. Both are needed, but flex different muscles.

It’s too bad because I love my team and I hate that I’ll have to tell the people who invested in me that I’m leaving, but I think it’s time.

I'm in media planning, not quite as burnt out as you by the sounds of it but trying to make a move into brand side.
What do you mean when you say strategy? And if you were working these same hours, would you be equally as burnt out, do you think?
I’m not sure to be honest. I think in college I thought I would be closer to brand strategy (how should we communicate the brand) vs. implementation of media buys themselves. You’re right in that it’s probably the hours talking, but I genuinely feel empty doing this work. Thanks for the response ❤️
Just want to say it gets better. I think I’m a much better media strategist now because of, not in spite of, spending my early years in the proverbial weeds. I understand the end to end, insight to strategy to execution of an idea, and that’s way more valuable to a company now that I’m 15+ years in than someone who drops a strategy and expects someone else to figure out how to make it happen.
How long have you worked there? Do you have an approachable manager or director? I’ve found entry level work is often monotonous, but you can discuss goals and ensure you are getting exposed to things that will enable you to do more interesting work down the line. Or if you are close to a year you could really ask about potentially transferring to another team/department/getting exposed to some more interesting projects.
