I am leaving JP Morgan next month and have resigned before completing of my 1 year with the firm but technically my year will be completed next month before notice period. The laptop allowance and the relocation allowances will it be recovered from me during my exit??
Please let me know if anyone is aware of this scenario.. Leaving JP Morgan is completely personal JPMorgan Chase
JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

As of yesterday, even though I applied in May, and that while they liked my application, they will not be considering me till early 2023.
This is the second time they pushed back their consideration... 😞

We sponsor a lot of people so probably not the sole reason. I got my green card via BCG.
Depends. If you already have an H1 and all you need is an H1 transfer, no.
If you just graduated and only have 1 year on OPT, probably.
If you have a stem degree and are on OPT and have used up most of your OPT already, probably.
I would dare to say it could be a factor. BCG has declined my CV in many occasions despite it being a perfect fit for the role they are looking for. It's one of the few companies that asked this question up front and I am convinced they filter people but this criteria and go with other profile that don't require it.
Not really sure how to answer this question since we don’t know what role the recruiter was trying to fill, your skill set, and how you answered the questions. I think that’s a pretty standard question whenever I’ve had recruiter calls. The fact it took them a bit of time to send the rejection makes me think they presented their notes about you to the hiring managers and they passed.

I’d hazard to guess it was a bit more than merely your visa status. Hard to truly provide an accurate response without additional context on how the rest of the phone screen went.

I’d be curious to unpack the experience summary a bit more. How would you characterize your YOE and quality of experience? Is it what the role was looking for? We’re you applying to a job level commensurate with your experience? Is it a specialized vertical or was it more of a generalist position and how does that compare to the role you were interviewing for?
I interviewed with them despite being very transparent about having 5 months left on my OPT, and it was non-issue. I would suppose the ding was due to your experience summary.
Visa status not likely to be a factor. We are quite used to it.
