Never dealt with it myself living in the States. I've driven my own car to and from every job I've ever had. If there was an Uber strike, I suppose my weekend outings might be impacted, but otherwise, I'm mostly insulated from being affected by transportation strikes.
I would say you’re lucky, but I know how long some people’s commutes are in the states! (And how much traffic there can be)
The strikes are exhausting. My usual 30-minute commute has doubled, and it feels like the whole city is shuffling around. I try to leave earlier and pack extra patience, but it definitely tests your energy for the workday.
For me I normally get a bus, so my usually peaceful commute was cramped (or even impossible) and took so so long
I would start walking part of my commute just to avoid the bus chaos. How are you managing the waits?
I found I was leaving extra early to walk to the first stop of my normal bus just to drive back past my normal stop- so tiring
