I wouldn’t take it personal at all that they don’t know about you. This is an opportunity for you to be consistent and show you are prepared! It’s a rare opportunity to shy, use it 10x if asked.
I def agree with you! This isn’t just an interview for me but this is an interview for the employer as well. Put the power back in the people. You’re hiring so you need US. Act like you’re interested then!
When they say "I didn't get a chance to look over your resume can sometimes be a trick question
I’muhh erred
Yea it’s extremely annoying especially when the same things happens for every interview at every company
Due to the sheer number of people a HM reviews (or not depending on the role) sometimes they will look at your resume shortly before. The hiring process just depends on who you speak to. From past hiring manager experience it's nothing personal the process is not a perfect one.
You will understand this when you change the role and start interviewing people.

I used to interview folks after working resume's down to the shortlist. Yes, it takes time, yes it involves doing "unproductive" work (if you think hiring someone is unproductive I guess), but I still wouldn't do this to people.
But, "treat people the way you want to be treated" can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. A lot of people in business take on this "it isn't personal" attitude that really doesn't gel with folks who want to be respectful and welcoming. I strived to always be the kind of person I wanted to work for: trusted my staff, supported their decisions even if they were different than I'd make, considered what I'd be asking from people if I changed a rule or policy, etc.
I'm finding that lots of people with power just figure "I have the power" and that you'll conform or repeat yourself as many times as they ask. I guess best advice is try not to take it personally (because they truly don't care one way or another based on that) and try not to do it yourself whenever you're in a position to do better.
It's just disjointed interview processes. They don't communicate what they are going to ask. Also, a different person may glean a different opinion of you even with the same answer.
