Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Depends on the agency, the market, and how many years experience you have. I will tell you this — if you’re a woman ask for 10% more than you’re comfortable asking for.
I really appreciate you taking the time. Thank you!
It starts with a four. Say the number and let it hang in the air. They won't pay you more than the first sum you mention so start on the higher side. In other words, don't negotiate with yourself.
And look to the total comp. Edelman is privately held so there is likely to be a bonus component. PTO days, 401k matching, notice period, attending Cannes or SXSW might be important to you. So make sure you negotiate them as well as your base.
Whatever is important to you. Employers can flex on benefits and package even when they are strict on the base salary.
If you’re in NYC at least 350K probably.
Depends on where you are, your experience, size of agency and size of accounts. If you’re in LA or NY at a traditional agency with at least one premier account, it should start at 350 if not 375. That said, I keep hearing things are lower lately, so YMMV.

Things are only lower if you accept them. Go for 400+.
The highest one you can get
A little surprised to see any NYC numbers below 400. Know things are getting compressed but that used to be pretty common, from my understanding.
PR or traditional creative agency?
Traditional
What’s *your* fair number? For the market you’re in, size of agency and client base, scope of role, number of direct reports? Less stress if you stop trying to outguess the dealer and be confident in your hand.
Good advice 🙏 I just feel so out of my depth on this one. It’s near impossible to find comps
