Been digging into the obvious (e.g. resume, DCF, three-statements, basics of LBO, why IB + this bank) but don’t want to spend unnecessary time on everything that comes up in a google search if it isn’t the right approach.

My background is BSc & MSc in Acct, back office BB intern, big4 audit intern, and current title FT ~ 1.5 yrs. My current role is heavy on 3 statement models/IS forecasts.

How do you get experience when no one will hire you? I wouldn’t mind hanging a shingle but I feel it’d be irresponsible to do so with no experience. Unlike all of my classmates, I never landed an internship/externship in law school - had only one interview. I was a PT law student, came from a CS background, and worked in IT throughout law school. I passed the bar exam on my first try (Oct 2020) and have only had a couple interviews out of the hundreds of applications I sent out. Any suggestions?

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. I’ve been negotiating a settlement on behalf of a client. OP is a major corp. we’ve gone back and forth for months, almost a year. Finally came to a final agreement and we’re reviewing for final signature. Then client is reviewing and decides they want something else modified. It’s a point of contention. OP has said no. I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job.
