Can some1 explain how the journey starts from day 1.
Heard Noise abt client interviews , bench process,layoffs etc etc.
Need Serious Comforting advise.

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

PROPOSAL: Can we start naming names with respects to layoffs, furloughs, and pay cuts? Knowledge is power, and the only ones who benefit from vague exchanges of info. are the employers. Thank you!

NDAs - signed my first one as a part of a severance agreement. thinking about leaving an honest review for this company, but unsure about the liabilities that come with this. (NDA mentioned no defamation) leaning on the side of letting it go, but this employer sucked BAD and i want others to know. ik its hard to give a straight answer bc it depends on the agreement, but wheres the line between bad mouthing vs your honest experience?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I have an interview for a technical writer position in the chemistry field. Coming from a lab based chemistry role I'm use to getting technical questions about my lab experience. With this role I'm interviewing for being office based, I'm not sure what questions they may ask. What interview questions can I expect for a technical writing position?

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. Weekly Hot take. Accessibility=/= easy mode. I know it would take alot more time and resources to develop but more games sould come with accessibility features like color blind mode and maybe a bullet time for jumps. I am not a person with disabilities but i believe Celeste did a pretty good job at adding some of these features. I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?
There's not really a rule book that says I must work until the work is done even though it's an unsaid expectation. Thoughts?
