Insurance coverage folks in NYC/NJ - have you had a positive experience with a recruiter that you’d recommend? I’m a mid-level thinking of making a move and trying to work with a recruiter familiar with the practice area, so any insight or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

I had a recruiter that I really enjoyed working with who found me my last job, but I recently reached out and he is no longer in the area. Which is a bummer, because recruiters, especially good ones, are hard to come by.

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? Do you all feel that the Health Insurance choice is actually all the same? The coverage is absolutely copy and paste for Bronze to Platinum and the deductible/copay is very similar.
I just don’t understand why we have the illusion of “choice” if the offer is the same and it is really bad (in our case).
Going from $61 per paycheck for 2.5k deductible 75% copay to $500+ per paycheck with 500 deductible 85% copay.

I got offers from Tata Consultancy - 18 fixed+4.3 VP

Birlasoft - 25L agreed on initial call. HR round pending.

Tech:Mainframe, YOE: 11.5

TCS asking for joining confirmation within 3 days.

Is it worth rejecting TCS, for 10% more package from birlasoft.

TCS better on:
Health insurance
More Yearly leaves
No relocation
No shifts

Birlasoft better on:
More package
May get joining bonus.

Help me decide which one to choose?
If any other factors to consider?

What house plants are NOT toxic to cats? I swear every time I go to buy a new plant and look it up it says “toxic to pets”. What is everyone’s take on the NYC housing market? More people and businesses are moving out. I’d imagine it has to continue to dip. Also, they’re considering turning adding more units by converting commercial space into residential space. Inventory is going to be through the roof for rentals. I’d think that has to ultimately impact home prices.

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.
