Larsen & Toubro Infotech Hi Folks, I have recently joined LTI. I have received my first month salary but not the joining bonus with that. Also, the recruiter and HR people are not replying on the mail or the ticket. If anyone has any idea when and how LTI provide the joining bonus. #LTI Larsen & Toubro Infotech

Have a crisp answer for why BCG. Doesn’t have to be deep, just confident
Quick weirdness check in my experience
For real
Ehh, I think it’s a pretty important part of the interview. In my experience, we place a greater importance on fit than most other firms
You should assume it’s all “for reals”...
I don’t think the questions are that unique but fit is very important. For example, I knew a candidate who aced the cases and was super smart but wasn’t a good fit- they didn’t get an offer
Important. Their are lots of folks who can do the case fine. Fit can tip you over the edge to get the offer. Generally looking for thoughtful, introspective, personable folks
Well I would say that the case is the most important as you can be the best fit in the world, but if you can’t work the case you won’t get an offer. However, there are plenty of people who can work a case, so then fit becomes important. In the example I mentioned, the candidate’s behavior across all of their recruiting interactions were taken into account (e.g. not just during the interview itself). I don’t feel that it’s appropriate to say more than that in a public forum.
Real. Interviewed 100 candidates thus far
Two facets to think through - first what are your stories. Can you craft a compelling narrative around past experiences. Doesn’t all have to be home run stuff (eg we were the best, we won, etc). Can be situations where things didn’t go well (even if your fault) ad long as you can link back to what you learned and how you apply that moving forward. Think of markers of a successful consultant - eg being a good team member etc and build stores around those things
Second part is the weirdness one - hard to describe, but need to come off as enthusiastic without being thirsty, humble, thoughtful, personable, fun etc. basically the type of person you’d want on your team and to send to clients. Note we’re still a bit more of a quirky / brainy place than other places so fine if that shows through as well. Don’t need to be alpha jock frat star to get the offer :)
Fair. No firm has monopoly on nerdy or smart or cool or leader types. Just directional differences :)
I do too, and I was wondering- do they just ask the typical behavioral interview questions "tell me about a hard situation/ teammate/ etc" or are the questions different or unique as well?
Okay cool, what determines fit at BCG specifically other than the typical good team player, likeable, etc.? Or even, within those things, is there something in particular that's looked for? Your example was surprising since I thought acing cases was the biggest thing- why were they not a good fit, for example?
Thanks BCG 4 and 5!
谢谢。Thank you everyone for your advice. I will keep them in mind for my interview. I’m pumped!
Bcg5- would you be able to give an example of the quirkiness/ braininess of BCGers? I'm not quite sure what that means- you all do similar work as McK or Bain, so how does your approach come off as more quirky or brainy? Thanks!
I think more of a personality thing. If possible, meet up with a few folks from each firm or a recruiting event. Can likely feel a difference in people
I have, and honestly I don't really see it. The more humble than McK thing I get, but not that. Also, to be fair, I'm from a well known engineering school and basically everyone I've met at any of the MBBs come from a similar background, so we're all pretty nerdy
