Hi guys
I am working in Tata Consultancy kolkata from past 3 years, planning to get transfer to TCS Bangalore(hometown). Will there be any issues if I provide fake medical certificate for my parents? Also now they are forcing me to come back to kolkata office, is there any possibly they may let me work from bangalore office even if my project ODC is not there in bangalore?

Going by the uptight fuckery of BCG fish, expect unhelpful answers such as “You should have your own compelling story, OP” or “If you don’t have an answer to this, why are you even applying?” or “Have you read about our offerings or the work we do?”
Green is your favourite colour.
The way i did it was: related it to some other events on CV. E.g.: people; when I went to school X I found out that the people around you make a huge difference. Work pace: in internship Y I realized I need something more dynamic and fast paced. Etc etc. So I stuck with the generic ones, but tried to make a personal story around it. Not sure if that helps
Honestly, we probably won’t ask. That said, if asked, your answer needs to be much more specific than what you posted above. There isn’t a right answer. What are you actually interested in? What have we done that you think is neat and want to be involved with?
The answers I’ve heard are pretty varied, but what they have in common is specificity to the interviewee. So for example, telling a story about your interaction with the people or an anecdote about the firm that’s specific to your experience with us or our work. As long as it’s authentic (while being mindful of the impression it leaves-don’t use a story about that great bachelors party for your BCG friend) you should be fine
Easy M1. Uptight isn’t an adjective I usually hear applied to is. Fuckery, sure. We’ve all got our own brand right?
Not sure what more you want than the above. There isn’t a secret password and I can’t read OP’s mind to know what’s he’s passionate about. “BCG pays good” is also not a great response. Comp is great, but it’s not enough to make this sustainable for most people. Which is why getting some other benefit out of the job matters.
Congrats OP. For data collection (aka hope) purposes, can you share level and practice at Accenture? 🙏🏼
Do you not have some sort of interaction with a BCGer or something you read about the company or brand that even remotely interests you? Create a compelling story out of it. We are all story tellers at the end of the day - it doesn’t have to be fully truthful.
I didn’t get asked, but my answer would have been something about the people. I knew someone who worked there and got to meet his colleagues (BCGers), and that made me feel like it was a good fit. I couldn’t speak to the work as so many firms do the same stuff, unless you have a real unique or genuine hook it won’t sound great.
Also, M1, not sure what crawled up your ass and died but I think we are all trying to be helpful.
Thanks everyone. What were some of the main questions you got ? In first and final rounds
Mostly walking through parts of my resume in a behavioral style way. Talking about client stuff, or analysis I managed, etc

No trollers please. And thanks BCG1. Do you recommend looking into things like the Henderson institute, project examples and specific practices I'm assuming? Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen or given creative/good answers.
You love matrices
It’s generally a bad idea to throw generic answers like these, especially at a BCG interview. The why BCG? Is a pretty important question because it allows you to have a unique story to set you apart from others. Might want to take an hour sit down and write down the true path to consulting etc to set yourself apart and have a unique **memorable** story
The sell is all about the story
I’m a big fan of 2x2 matrices 💵🐄
Yeah make it up no one checks. Culture is one way we are different. Depth of companies too. Bcg is 3-5 companies all rolled into one
@BCG4, can you please share what would be your unique / memorable story if you were to be asked the same question now ?
This is the question you should least worry about
