After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

We do. But hey. Account people can and should be able to come up with a decent strategy when required. First things first. Don’t call it a tactical strategy, cause tactics and strategy are different. I am not being snarky, just don’t want you to make a rudimentary error :) Now. All you need to do is show how you would use social channels to accomplish whatever goal you have. Start with the goal and work back. Strategy is simply how you get from where you are now, to where you want to be, and how you will overcome the obstacles in the way. As well as the goal, try to determine an audience / product / channel insight - eg for athletes, the Olympics is war without blood (not mine, but man I wish it was) - because that will set the direction. No goal, no strategy; no insight, bad strategy. That help?
I feel like that’s a huge red flag. This, to me, sounds like the agency is woefully understaffed, so they have people in all different positions working well outside of their job descriptions
I would make a one sheeter case study of a social project you worked on instead.
Not a red flag per se but indicates the expectation for Account people at the agency (it’s probably a smaller shop, Account wears a lot of hats, which is not everyone’s cup of tea). It’s happened to me and went over well, as Account people we should be able to build out basic POVs, target audiences, channels, content strategy, you name it. We’ve seen our strategists do it well, ours isn’t going to be as good, but it’s a good capability to have. If you move forward with the project, you’ll learn a lot and might be surprised by what you can come up with. But if it doesn’t seem like someplace you can see yourself long-term, you don’t need to spend time on it (diving into Strategy tools will take you some time). Good luck!
Thanks all! Appreciate the candor. And SVP 1, you're totally right - I think I meant strategy that specifically utilizes the "tactic" of Social. Regardless, we good :)
Honestly, my concern is more about taking credit for work that was a group effort - and then taking a job where I'm not doing what I truly know. I'll put together a one-sheeter per Sup 1, but be upfront about my role.
Fishbowl - and y'all - for the win (this time, ha).
OP, you’re a good egg. Good luck and let us know how you get on :)
