That’s low
Why is it always the EY folks doubting?
I’d say that’s reasonable yes
Depends on where you live and the cost of labor in that city.
That would help lol I’m in Philadelphia so MCOL I’d say
That’s what I got on promotion to int’l tax manager in 2022 in the DC area.. It was the highest salary of any M1 (or even most M2 and 3s) in my group but I still felt it was too low - went looking elsewhere right away
The partners told me so but I didn’t trust they were being truthful - I’d been in the group for a few years and the people I’d worked with for a few years and I discussed our comp. There was also another firm that was openly willing to hire M1s at 160k so it was part of a larger conversation of “shit… should we just jump there?”
For a new manager in Philly, that’s right in line.
And what did you start at “several years ago”?
135K..? I make that as a senior in NYC lmao
nyc tax sr here, no as high as 135k in tax group. Even today.
I’m at 130k in NJ manager 1
I think so.. I was at a little over $120k first year audit manager in NYC (two years ago)
Seems average or a lil below, I know S-1’s in tax making 100-105 so with 3 years more experience than them + promo I think it warrants more than 30-35k in comp compared to them
Depends are you in some speciality area
