I have 2 years of deal-focused strategy consulting for buy side and sell side biopharmaceutical firms (includes asset valuations, market models and risk adjusted NPV models). I am looking to break into investment banking and would love to do so without having to get my MBA. Any insights/tips would be GREATLY appreciate.

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?

Heard that partners at MBB that focus on public /social sectors (higher education institutions, government, non-profit orgs) get lower salaries than peers. Is that true and by how much?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Genuinely curious question: why do so many international students want to get MBAs in the US... it’s hard for them to get work here, with Trump it’s hard to even get and stay here, so what’s the appeal? There are plenty of other good universities internationally so why the expensive ones in the US?
