Hi Fishes,
Cleared interview with AWS but the role went on freeze, HR said my result is valid for 6 months and may choose to directly extend an offer when role is again available. Can anyone in AWS share any insights about the current freeze and if you see things getting better within 6 months.

I regret not having any money to purchase
No one regrets it because of the 2.x% rates. And none of them will sell their home for a while because if they do, they won’t find another home they can afford with the current 5%+ rates

Exactly this
Isnt the higher interest rate offset by lower home prices (theoretically)? Doesn’t it makes sense to buy in a high interest rate environment as you can refi down the line + value of ur house should go back up as rates fall in the long run?
Interest rates were at record lows…it will be a long time til that happened again. (That said, 5-6% isn’t that bad, big picture.)
Also because of low inventory, housing prices haven’t dropped just yet.
Nope, got a 2.5% in the DC Area on a new build.
New build! 😳♥️

Nope, although I closed this year, so not really sure it counts as a pandemic purchase.
2.75% not selling for years

Regret not purchasing in a different area, but don’t regret purchasing overall.

Can’t complain too much though, my home value is up $240k and my interest rate is 1.75%.
Nope.. Got a 2.7 rate in March - should've bought it earlier but very happy with the purchase
No, do you?
That’s still a good rate!! People buying today envy u!
Nope
