I grew up in a 3bd 1ba house we all just got really comfortable with each other. And since then have lived in several apartments with my husband and 1ba you get used to it.
To me having more than one bathroom is a luxury so I don’t see a problem with it especially if everything else checks your boxes.
I see the benefits of 2 or 1.5 baths for sure. but should i rule out this one?
Depends on the person and how much time you spend in the bathroom. I had a 2bd 2ba condo before then moved and bought a 2bd 1ba condo so I can be closer to the city.
It was a world of difference. It was ok at first but once my brother moved in, it sucked on some days waiting on the bathroom. When he’s home I always try not to take up too much time in the bathroom. There’s a sense of “urgency” that you wouldn’t feel if you at least have the 1.5ba
It should be fine until someone moves in or you have kids. Might be harder to resell down the line, but if it's otherwise perfect, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Depends on your long-term plans.
I wouldn’t want to live in this area with kids. partner has his own space. beyond the occasional sleepover or out of town guest it’ll be just me living here. in 3-5 years i’ll nice and hold the property for rental/sell, whichever is better for profits/stress
If it's just you, then it's not necessarily an issue if you would be happy living there. There would be nobody to argue over the bathroom with so it's a moot point
