I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

No. It might help to initially land a job at a carrier but after that making yourself indispensable is what will help you climb to the top.
I have an MBA, and have been an agency owner since 2020, while helpful at times, it doesn't do anything to really help me or my agency "take off" to the top. I've found it more useful in being able to decipher market changes, and the various decisions made by the carriers when, say for example, they stop writing a certain line of business.
If you're going to be a producer for an agent, I'd say "don't waste the time or money", and even as an agency owner, I'd be really hesitant. There are many other certifications you can get that are directly insurance related that will do MUCH more for your career than just an MBA...
No, but it will help you in understanding business issues quicker and be more poised to discuss subjects. I have an MBA and for most of my career no one knew I had one, the only thing they knew was that I was the go to guy for technical information, like how DRG payments work. That's what got me promoted. Can you do it without an MBA? Sure, but it will take a lot of hard work, which is made a lot easier if you had the MBA skills.
Masters in Health Administration
At my company, having a law degree seems to help more.
I got a MSML and degrees seem to mean nothing in the company I work for
I don't even want out of claims so much as wanting to get into leadership
I have 3 masters degrees and I'm nowhere near the top. MBA's are a dime a dozen...most of my teammates have them and we're sooooo not management.
