Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

I've also seen it that some people are not the hiring managers, so they do the interview and assume the hiring manager will take it from there, but don't close the loop internally, so everyone is waiting and not communicating next steps.

I've had to follow-up to get info, but never completed ghosted once I've had a recruiter screenings. You aren't the only ball they are juggling, after a week of no news, it's perfectly acceptable to send a quick note asking for an update on the position and timeline.

Yes. I think that they don’t want to lose you as an option so they don’t close the loop but things internally changed for them.
Yeah I just had an agency do this to me. I sent them a follow-up email a week later and they just ghosted.
