Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

No, because I was brazenly and openly discriminated against in my last role. Not only that, but I was fired after asking for reasonable accommodation. A characteristic of ADHD was specifically documented as to why I was let go. The EEOCC is slow to respond, but that remains the right avenue for us. DEI doesn’t help the ignorant become spontaneously enlightened or “reformed”. Sadly.

Discussing ND openly had risks before as well. However, requesting reasonable accommodations is still fine - you are protected by the ADA and every workplace over 25 individuals must provide reasonable accommodations
I fear you may be right. Today the presidential admin blamed the DCA plane crash tragedy on “DEI” hires at the FAA who had “mental disabilities” - there is absolutely no evidence of this, and is a lie, but it’s that big of a talking point

Especially because a lot of the protections and legal support we rely on comes from agencies that Trump and the Republicans are gutting:
DoE, labor board, and DoJ civil rights division, just to name a few.

I hear that! I've been wondering this myself. There is no reason for DEI to be enforced now. In fact, companies can get into trouble if they try to include DEI.
