It depends. If you have limited background in finance, it will be hard. More so, it is broad and includes subjects such as economics, derivatives, investments, etc. Also everybody underestimates the difficulty of ethics, it is not easy. Suggest you get a good prep book like schweser.
Honestly, Corp finance is more about experience than certifications. CFA is a well recognized certification, but realistically you'd be using 10% of the knowledge gained as CFA is geared towards asset management. Unless you feel like this is worth spending 3 years doing, you might be better off just hunkering down and do the work.
CFA is the hardest credential. Way harder than CPA
Yes I am a CPA to all of you asking and I did not take the CFA but look at the pass rates it’s absolutely brutal and you can only take it like once a year.
You already switched to corp finance?
Nice congrats, what type of place will you be working at now? I’m currently in tax and want to get out
thanks for all the input. I decided to begin with CFA!
