Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Sign on: 40k
RSU: 160k/4 years (Here is where I think it is low)

I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

Honestly titles are just ego at the end of the day. The only real point of promotions for me is the earning potential so easier choice for me is higher pay rather than higher title. Are the benefits better for you though?
Untrue. If you get a better title, then the job after this job may be a better job too because they will see that you already held the position of IT manager. It’s the long game.
If this job will give you the experience of the IT manager which allows you to move to another company later and earn much more then yes. If it’s a title but no experience upgrade then no it’s not a good move. Think about the next step and ask :” would this move enable me (in one year) to get another IT manager job somewhere else with a a substantial salary upgrade ?
I managed teams of a dozen plus while in customer service because it was the only way to make any money in that space. I moved to IT and make a lot more NOT managing anyone. I'm not sure you could pay me enough now to go back and manage people... and for less money? That'd be a hard no. But to your point... if it's going to allow you to make more in the future go for it. I just realized my happiness not having to manage other people was the better fit.

In a nutshell, always choose money. At the end of the day, titles are often used as a con to keep from paying you what the job is worth.

Red flag, they will expect more for less. If you do more then demand more. If your the newbie you have to walk on ice and use the honeymoon training period to understand the lay of the land.
As someone who hit and fought the title wall for many years, yes, there became a time when it was about my self-worth and not an extra few thousand dollars. Also, when applying or being contacted for your next role, the title does often matter, and you may always be left "in the box" if you can't get over that hump.
