What state are you? Mostly, Paralegals cannot represent clients.
I highly doubt if you are a lawyer
Context, I am a 1st year lawyer trying to go solo
In most of the boards and small claims courts in Ontario, paralegals can represent clients.
Also, in some US states lawyers are not allowed to represent in administrative proceedings
Agree with Managing Partner as to US law. Nobody can practice law unless you are a licensed attorney. Generally representing someone in a legal hearing is considered the practice of law. It sure about your specific situation but if you like that sort of work I don’t see what harm there is in joining that board.
