Depends. I always see high sign on bonuses or walk-in interviews as a potential red flag for a company that has had an employee exodus. Have you researched the company or asked about how long other employees have been there during an interview? Is there a reason they would have to make the job more appealing? (rural area, limited number of practitioners locally etc) That being said.. sign on bonuses are pretty common and even if a company doesn’t offer it’s always worth asking.
Thank you for your response! I’m interviewing this Friday with the company, so I’ll be sure to ask those questions. Do you know if companies have anything that protects me, guaranteeing that I’ll keep a full time case load for the duration of the contract? One of my biggest concerns is being offered full time, but not getting it once I start. Again thank you for your response! Have a great day!
