Hi there - looking to understand when “new grad” isnt a term that can be used for salary negotiations I.e. 1 year of practice, 3 years of practice?

I am also struggling with this as employers are still referring to me as a new grad when I’ve been working in the field for 4 years. Seems like a ploy to pay us less.

I would think that you are no longer a new grad once you have 1 year of experience

I recently joined Swiss Re at 30lpa, pretty good manager and work culture. Got a hike of 10% in 3 months without me asking for it. But got an offer from another company which I was interviewing for before joining here and they are offering a base of 45lpa. Now I am unsure how I convey this to my manager coz I want to stay here but at the same time I am salivating over this new offer and wish I get similar numbers here. Is it worth raising a discussion? If yes what would be a subtle way to do so?

How much CTC should I expect in my switch as a Data Analyst or rather according to the market standards what should an ideal CTC be for a person with my experience.

Anyone here a DOR? I have an opportunity to oversee a therapy department for a transitional care facility with independent, assisted, sub-acute, LTC, and a memory unit on sight. They are looking to hire 9 additional therapists to make up the team. Seems like a good opportunity as it is with a non-profit hospital organization contracting into the facility. I am an OT practicing at a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic in Illinois. I have 15 years of experience with Peds and certified in both Sensory Integration & Feeding Therapy. My current pay is at $75k. I am looking into negotiating my salary soon. Any tips on how to do so? What’s a healthy $$$ number that I can start the negotiation with?

Hi! New on here and this is my first post. I graduated a couple of years ago and am on my second OT position. I am currently PRN at an inpatient mental health setting in an urban area of northeast Ohio. My question is related to hourly pay. If I were to switch from a PRN to part time/full time regular employee position what would be the appropriate pay change to expect? My PRN hourly is currently 48.99/hr...

We need to unionize and hold more leverage for pay. There’s no reason we should be managed by contractors and large scale companies. Not only is it unfair pay, but it’s bad for our communities. Can you imagine your local car ‘mechanic’ operating under the same structure..

Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? I have only worked in SNF and acute so I am new to HH plus this company specializes in lymphedema therapy. I am a CLT but want just a little but of training.

Do you ever find yourself having to call out from work due to sheer exhaustion? Any ideas why one may be feeling this way and how to counteract these feelings?
