Negotiating with EY for M/SM Tech Consulting. I have 15 years experience, skills are in demand and my interviews went extremely well. 1. What are the salary ranges for M and SM in NYC. 2. I am told it is only going to be a M now, for my own benefit-no EY network means failure at selling. Whats the highest salary I can negotiate at M. Any other tips will be handy. I have "sold" (support on sales & new roles through relationships) plus I have solid delivery experience. I really want SM 😀😀😀 EY
Hello, can someone with amazon provide guidance on how to properly follow up after submitting my application for a non-tech role. I submitted 5 apps so far and will appreciate any guidance or referrals if possible. Positions are related to fraud, investigations, anti-money laundering. My take is that’s a HUGE ask. As a hiring manager, you’re asking me for $20K more per year roughly. Can always ask, but be sure you can back it up with numbers or else you come off as greedy or only in it for the money
Isn’t this just negotiation ?
That’s a big gap. Even if you swing it and get it, you’re coming in at the top of the range — so merit increases are probably out of the picture until your next promotion. Ask yourself how long you are realistically willing to stay in that role at that salary.
They should never say their rate first. They should ask you. You don’t go to the shop, pick a product and tell the cashier you have X $ for it, do you?
If they do it, best you do you say that it’s outside your range. If they ask what’s your rate, you are in control again. If they don’t - they will remember you as inaccessible, confident, expensive - that is: good.

I was thinking so but now I’m worried I priced self out of job. Best to not follow up and correct it, right?
My low range was their high range.
I personally love telling them - ok that’s a bit low, but I am happy to do it, just 4 days a week.
