I had a interview with the partner where in the last few minutes he mentioned they are taking their time with the process and a final decision might be made a month or two from now so I shouldn’t be discouraged if I don’t hear back for some time. I feel like you’d get a rejection email or your status would change if you were rejected. Probably just the holidays + things usually take forever at Citi anyways
HR is slow on offers, period!! I had my final interview and took 4 or 5 weeks for my offer. I am guessing the holidays could delay that more
Everyone’s out on vacation, from HR to the BU, I would just follow up in the new year
Do you think I should follow up again before we go into next week or just leave it? The recruiter said they were hoping to know more by end of last week. Today would be 2 weeks since last following up. Going on almost 4 weeks since last interview.
I’d say it depends on the position. Some roles are quick to hire because it’s very competitive and they could easily just move to the next person or yea it’s holiday delays. If it’s the former I’d say you’re waitlisted because you would’ve received a rejection by now if you weren’t being considered anymore
I doubt the recruiter would lie and string you along like that. Just take them at their word and wait a bit. I'd still keep applying elsewhere in the meantime, though, just in case.
Yeah same, appreciate the feedback
I found Citi super slow. Applied to Citi and jpm at the same time. Had an offer letter from jpm before Citi even reached out for an initial interview
Maybe hiring freeze until the new year?
It could just be the holidays. I would send a follow up email and see what you hear.
Good point. It sucks because other places are quick to make offers. Already turned down one place (not because I was waiting on Citi), but still.
You should reach out. That's okay. It's possible that they are still deliberating about it. But reaching out will show how interested you are in the role.
