Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Is this their sneaky way of trying to suss out demographics, sexual orientation, religion, and parental status?
Right which is illegal. What an odd question, borders on illegal IMO.

I usually say I’m part of the culinary community —I like to make toast for breakfast.
Heck yes!
It was their way of asking about race/orientation which totally fine. It just caught me off guard because I’ve never been asked that before.
Coming from a place of privilege, my answer was: I identify as a cis white male who supports and donates to as many communities as I can, and am totally supportive of an equal and welcoming work environment for everyone.
Thinking you are better than others because of your skin colour and who you like to bang is peak white supremacy. Our society is so backwards. But bravo to you for being so open and honest 🙄
Not normal, but I wouldn’t say not cool. Probably just a different way of trying to get to know the version of you that doesn’t show up on your resume. Though, I could see how it might come off as invasive. Still, you could always say you’re a part of the “music community” even if that really means you just like going to concerts, just to use an example.
I wouldn't have a clue how to answer that question without more context
What does “communities” mean in their context?
Protected groups more or less I would guess.
