Is it normal to ask for the detailed benefits like what's included in the health insurance once you've gotten an offer?

I wouldn’t think there is anything wrong with it. Just be mindful of how you ask. Be polite, say how you are excited, and ask for more details, or be specific if you want to know something for certain.

Thanks!

I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. Health coverage is the single most important benefit a company has to offer. You've got every reason to want details and clarity on what's included.

Thank you!

Yes. The recruiter might not want to provide that info, but you need to insist, as that's an essential part of total compensation that you need to fill understand in order to make an informed decision.

Any tips on how to insist? I don’t want to come off as too pushy

If the benefits don’t match what I’m looking for, is it a bad look if I decline the offer despite being excited for the job?

Wish apps like BetterHelp were free. I can’t afford healthcare or therapy (I’m unemployed, and yes, I’ve tried seeking pro bono therapy options — no place anywhere nearby offers it.) What sucks is everyone assumes this career hands you median wages on a platter but I’m worse off than I’ve ever been.
