Definitely, you can switch to any field if you are willing to start at the bottom (which isn’t a real issue for you since you are a first year.)

Honestly I don’t see much overlap in privacy work and worker’s compensation. If you can’t take on work from a privacy practice group at your firm I suggest getting out ASAP and getting privacy experience before you get stuck.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar.
