McKinsey & Company I had a second round of interview with McK 1 week back but no one got back to me yet.
I only received a link to login to McK website where the status my job application shows “In Progress”.
I am not sure whether it takes so much time for McK to respond after the second round. Is anybody aware of this?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Yes, you can get by. Just don’t stain the suit. It would also help if you were able to also alternate your shoes/belt.

As an alternative to a suit I’ve largely gone to traveling with a really nice blazer with subdued buttons. I pack a couple pairs of pants with at least one being more formal slacks that I can pair with a tie for a meeting where I’d normally wear a suit.
Have you looked into alterations? No clue cost, but if you invested a grand that seems worth tailoring.
I find these responses strange. I’d find it highly unusual to bring more than one suit to a 3 day event. One suit, one belt, one pair of shoes, 3 different shirts
That be yucky!

Yes. Bring a spare pair of trousers and change your shirt obvs. That is standard. It is weird if you treat it like a fashion parade. You are a soulless consultant that your client forgets about the second you leave the room.
Don’t overthink it.
Do you wear a suit and tie? Or just jacket and pants. If the latter, you really need 1 navy suit and 2 pairs of pants that you can wear while using the navy suit jacket as a blazer. Alternate the shirts and you will have a different outfit for every day! I must have 20 suits but never travel with more than one jacket for a business casual client.

Usually people don’t attention what men are wearing unless you are fashionable person
I think wearing the same suit 3 days in a row sounds odd and kind of gross. I'd never wear the same one any days in a row. For a 3 day trip I'd bring 2 suits.
EC1, I'm sorry if my post was rude - I was sharing my opinion because I think OP was looking for different perspectives. That's mine. I didn't get the impression that they have "limited financial means" - just that they don't want to spend 1k on a bunch of new suits.
I did share what I think they should pack. A lot of other posters also shared specific recommendations and perspectives.
Part of this app is for people to share their opinions - in fact, I think being able to ask people's opinions anonymously can be really helpful since it might be things you don't want to ask a friend or don't think you can get honest feedback from a friend. This app isn't just for sharing facts - Google will give you facts. Getting different perspectives is really helpful.
People still wear suits?
Obviously people still wear suits. It seems like your "question" is more to pass judgment instead of being helpful to someone that was asking a completely reasonable question.
Dog, I've been wearing this pair of jeans for a week.
Nobody cares or notices how men dress. Especially if your suit is dark blue. If you wear a tiger-striped zoot suit YMMV though.
You could be like Lex Friedman and have a whole closet full of the the same white shirt, black suit and tie.
You get out of the suit and into casual attire the second you leave the office anyway. Don't fly or sleep in it. Hang it up into your hotel, iron, steam it after wearing. Clean socks underwear shirt is all that matters.
I went on a two week overseas trip with one suit/show/belt set though i got 5 white shirts, underpants and socks😜
Gave it to hotel laundry over the weekend.
No one cares really.
Three is a lot imo, alternate days (suit, Oxford and tie (or no tie), suit), or wear a different pair of pants with the same suit coat. Or find another way to alternate so that you don’t appear to wear the same thing everyday
I do this with jeans on work trips frequently so I don’t have to pack multiple pairs
is there even space in your luggage for more than one suit?
NEVER travel in a suit
I was always advised to buy two pairs of trousers/pants whenever you buy the suit. The trousers always wear out quicker than the jacket so this allows you to alternate, get a longer life out of the suit as a whole and change the pants during the 3 day event. It's likely that you will have opportunities to take the suit jacket off throughout the event so this won't get as much use anyway.
I typically bring different pair of pants and shirt for each day. Not keen on wearing same dress pants more than once, unless alternating 2 pair.
Alternate with shirts, different color trousers and then do 1 or 2 blazers or just 1 blazer instead. Shirts themselves can make a big difference.
Hard no
Where on earth are you working that requires suits, and better yet, ties?!
Finance in NYC = suit if you work with front office people at all. The big earners rock the Patagucci vests but as a consultant you ain’t a big earner.
200???
Yes, they said $200. Is there a reason you're re-stating this with three question marks?
Same jacket for three days is fine. Bring two pants so you can alternate. Can one day be khakis?
