Depends, especially because you’re interested in transactional and not lit. If a federal judge or a judge in your state’s highest court, yes. If for a judge on Delaware Chancery Court, definitely yes (very valuable experience for transactional attorneys).
If you’re clerking for a state trial court judge and you don’t want to move to litigation, probably not.
Thanks for the advice! Chancery Court is the most competitive and I was middle of the list in my class so I don’t think I have a chance to clerk for a chancellor.
