I’m currently finishing up a cybersecurity Master’s degree, have an LLM in Intellectual Property, licensed in nine states, and I’m published in the field. I wanted to practice cyberlaw and could not get anyone to hire me nor get enough business on my own to sustain me. I’m working in a completely different area of law and while I really enjoy it, it doesn’t challenge me. Any tips on how to build up this area of my practice- especially privacy law?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

Currently senior consultant with 3.5 years work ex + Masters in IE. Google is offering Program Manager role but at L3. The base will be almost the same as current (120k) but the upside is equity. (+70k year 1) Really confused on whether I should be taking this? It feels like a huge step down and starting all over again at the same level as fresh grads. Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school
