It is a bit. You’re losing half the benefit of a manger and they’d feel like you’re looking over their shoulder for everything.
The point of a property manager is to be pretty much hands off on your real estate. You hired them to do the work for you. This can come off as micromanaging and no one likes that.
So yeah you should get a new property manager if you don’t trust them.
Agree with above and if you are on the email, tenants will have you email and just start emailing you instead of them will all kinds of nonsense.
Third property managers usually suck. You do have to watch them like hawks. But if you want to keep them, sometimes they don’t want to feel as if they’re being watched. It’s a balancing act if you want to have a third-party management company.
