Is it worth it to apply to jobs SLIGHTLY out of your parameters? I have 20 months of experience but a lot of the roles I’m desiring require 2-3+ years of experience. Or are showing that they are in other states. I’ve applied to many roles since my company started laying people off so I feel like I need to Hail Mary it otherwise I’ll be out of a job soon. But is it worth it? I’ve applied to roles that are entry (0-2) as well but they are so far and few between..

3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.
