Is it worth learning Apache Hadoop, Cloudera, and associated technologies like Hive and Nifi? I currently have experience with AWS and am not sure if it is worth the time to learn this new material

Landed a role in a new industry in which I don’t have much experience but finally exiting out of consulting. I am a bit apprehensive about this change and the new role. Any tips or resources that helped others do well in a new role?

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. Is this cert worth it? Or should I try one of the more advanced ones ? The data analytics one for example but wasn’t sure if it would be difficult to get through as a beginner.
